.25 Ackley Short Krag (P.O. Ackley Data) |
![]() |
Warning! Notes: Standard twist: 10". Special twist: 12", 14". The .25 short Krag (Ackley) was originally developed for use in single shots for shooters who desired relatively high velocity from a cartridge designed for this type of action and it has proven to be very successful for use in the P14 Enfield giving velocities equal, if not superior to the "improved" .257 Roberts. This medium size .25 calibre case holds slightly over 50 grains of 4350 powder, or about 4 grains less than the "improved" .257 Roberts. (Handbook for Shooters & Reloaders/Vol. 1 - P.O. Ackley, 1962) NOTE: USE THIS DATA WITH EXTREME CAUTION |
