Warning! Notes: Standard twist: 10"; Special twist: 11", 12". The first .17 caliber cartridge was called the .17 Pee Wee. It was simply the .30 Carbine case necked down to .17 but because of the lack of suitable actions, it was discontinued in favor of the .17 Bee shortly after its introduction in about 1945.
